You know how, when you don't want to hurt someone's feelings, you try to say nothing about the problem, because it would only hurt them more to tell them the whole truth? That's all it was. You were not being called back as a subtle way of letting you know to drop the efforts. It wasn't something we wanted to tell you, because we never intended to hurt your feelings, we wanted to silently slip away without a scene. Stopping by to visit Liz after you learned she was on bed rest set me off, and I had to tell you to stop. Liz's and Sydney's health were at stake and that is why Liz was confined to zero stress and movement only when neccesary. Visiting her was irresponsible and pushed me over the edge. I apologize for the method of that conversation, I was at my wit's end after being polite when you would call me at work usually, and Liz was tired of avoiding your calls, waiting for you to get the message.
