Yay. I've finally created a character to partner with Bela at Terre Haute. Well, she's pretty much finished anyway. I got writer's block while trying to come up with a history for her, but that's alright. Bela is a Lasombra and fairly prominent member of the Sabbat.

Anyway, here she is:

Name: Lydia Milavovich
Age: 175
Apparent Age: 32
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Clan: Tzimisce, 8th generation

History: Lydia was embraced 143 years ago. At the time, she had been studying some of the more ancient religions. She had always been the studious one. Perhaps that's what her sire, was drawn to. He spent a week watching her as she studied and listened to the conversations she had with her husband. She was extremely intelligent and he liked that in her. He took her late at night as she gathered wood. Her poor husband never knew what happened that night ... he was in too much pain to care.

After her transformation and the death of her former husband, she left with her sire. He taught her how to use her discipline, to make them grow and eventually introduced her to the ways of the Sabbat. It's there that she met Belatucadrus.

Description: Any mortal who meets Lydia usually has a skewed vision of her when she leaves them.... if she leaves them alive. They remember a beautiful pale woman, full of grace. In the back of their minds they know the horrid truth. She enjoys being mysterious, secretive.

Disciplines:

Animalism -

1 - Feral Whispers
Positive:
The vampire may communicate with an animal through simple commands.
Negative:
Eye contact must me kept the entire length of the "conversation". The animal does not have to listen to anything the vampire asks of it.

2 - Beckoning
Positive:
The vampire can call out in the language of a specific animal to come to him. All animals that can hear the call are summoned. All the animals that show up are at least willing to listen to the vampire's request.
Negative:
Animals chose if they want to respond or not.

3 - Cowing the Beast
Positive:
The vampire may use this power to calm any assertive emotions (rage, hope, etc) within the subject.
Negative:
When this power is used on a mortal, she can not use or regain willpower. She doesn't even defend herself if assaulted. Vampires are not affected by this power.

4 - Subsume the Spirit
Positive:
The vampire may physically possess an animal.
Negative:
The vampire's body falls into a state like torpor and remains like this until the vampire returns. Anything the animal feels, the vampire will feel. If the animal dies before the vampire's soul can leave the body, the vampire's body falls in torpor. The vampire's soul is lost at this time and must find it's way back into it's body.

Auspex -

1 - Heightened Senses
Positive:
When a vampire uses this power, all of her senses are sharpened. She may use this power at will and use as long as she sees fit.
Negative:
Bright Lights, Loud noises and strong smells are detrimental to a character using this power. Such things as aforementioned can blind, deafen, or destroy the vampire's ability to scent anything for an hour or more. You can not see in pitch darkness.

2 - Aura Perception
Positive:
The vampire can see the aura's of other creatures to decide what action, if any, she may need to take in the near future.
Negative:
<none>

3 - The Spirit's Touch
Positive:
The vampire can "read" an object that someone else has handled before for a significant amount of time. The vampire can learn who handled the object, when was the last time she held it, and what the object was used in recently.
Negative:
The visions that a vampire gets are rarely clear, instead they are like a "psychic snapshot." Even though most of the visions seen have the person who most recently had the item in possession, another person who may hve had the object longer leaves a stronger impression than the person who only held the object briefly. A loud noise or a physical attack will break the trance the vampire is in instantly.

4 - Telepathy
Positive:
The vampire can communicate through a mind link to that of a nearby mortal. You can communicate without words, or you can read the mortal's thoughts. Tremere and Tzimisce often use this power to steal secrets from others or for directing their servants without words.
Negative:
It does not usually work with vampires or other supernatural beings.

Celerity - basicly Superhuman speed. It's not a discipline that Lydia's worked on developing, so she's slow compared to most other vampires

Obfuscate -

1 - Cloak of Shadows
Positive:
The vampire can disappear into a shadow.
Negative:
She must stay still, silent, and must be partially covered by something (bush, boxes, etc). If she moves, is put under direct light, or a concentrated attempt to see the vampire is done, the concealment disappears.

2 - Unseen Presence
Positive:
The vampire can move around without being seen.
Negative:
The slightest sound can dissolve the power. Also, if someone is looking for the vampire, the power will be disrupted. If the vampire makes an action such as throwing someone across the room, as soon as she has finished the act, she is in plain sight.

3 - Mask of a Thousand Faces
Positive:
The vampire can make others see what she wants them to see physically.
Negative:
The vampire's physical shape does not actually change. If the truth is figured out about the vampire, the illusion is dissolved.

Presence -

1 - Awe
Positive:
The vampire may make others around her desire to become closer to her and become very receptive to her point of view.
Negative:
Subjects of this power will remember what happened while encountering the vampire, and may influence their actions should they every encounter each other again.

2 - Dread Gaze
Positive:
The vampire may force unbearable terror into it's victims, making them temporarily mad, temporarily "paralized" in a spot (like a deer in headlights, more or less), or run recklessly away.
Negative:
<none>

3 - Entrancement
Positive:
The vampire can bend others' emotions, making them pliable servants to her will, yet do not sap them of their individuality and creativity.
Negative:
The "slaves" can be unpredictable.

4 - Summon
Positive:
The vampire can call anyone she has met to herself. It can travel any distances (in the physical world) and can be "heard" by mortals or supernatural. Even if the summoner moves, those whom she has called will still know where to find her.
Negative:
The summons disappears as soon as dawn hits. Unless the target is wholeheartedly "trained" to the vampire, she will have to continue her summons each night until the target gets there.

5 - Majesty
Positive:
The vampire (if attractive) can become paralyzingly beautiful or if the vampire is homely, he can become hideously demonic. All targets of this power give respect, devotion or fear to the vampire (all at once).
Negative:
The power could come back to haunt her (humiliated Kindred who have eternity to plan revenge, etc).

Vicissitude -

1 - Malleable Visage
One of the more useful traits of this discipline, the Tzimisce can alter a body part or voice. The change in height can be no more than one foot either way.

2 - Fleshcraft
The vampire may make more drastic changes in her own flesh, skin, muscle, fat and cartilage (no bone) or that of another. The vampire can move clumps of skin, fat and muscle tissue, providing extra soakage.

3 - Bonecraft
By spending a blood point in the same manner as Malleable Visage and Fleshcraft, the vampire may make very drastic changes in her own bone structure, or that of another. If used without Fleshcraft, with the intent of injury, the victim's bones will stretch possibly ripping the skin.

4 - Horrid Form (Zulo)
The vampire may transform into a horrible monster. This form is seven to eight feet tall with grotesque features, clawlike, seven fingered hands, a row of bony spines protruding from her vertebrae, a horribly deformed head, huge muscles and thick blackish-grey skin covered with a slick, black, oily residue.

Weaknesses: Along with the other weaknesses that come with being a vampire, (i.e. sun/fire/etc.) Lydia has a quick temper when her guard is down. She will lose control, almost to the point of going into a frenzy. After such an episode, she is quite vulnerable.

Thats about it though. I spent a good porion of the day doing stuff for christmas. I bought herbs for one of the teas I'm going to give out and I carved a box top (which worked out fairly well. Click here to see it) and tentatively put together a wind chime.

Tomorrow I have to do laundry and a few other things.
